About Dennis Peterson

A local to southeastern NC, born and raised in Wilmington NC and a graduate of New Hanover High School. My career is an independent Insurance agent in southeastern NC. Since my young age I have had a passion for youth sports. A youth coach of over 40 yrs including 13 years as a high school assistant football and baseball coach in Pender County. My sports passion also includes five years as sportswriter/editor for the Pender Post & Voice newspaper. In 2016 I started Topsail Youth Sports Daily Facebook page as a way to provide coverage and exposure for the youth of the Topsail area. In May 2019 a decision was made to develop topsailyouthsportsdaily.com

2022 Tri-County Youth Sports Daily – All Area Football – Second Team

The area 2022 high school football season was one with several teams advancing to the NCHSAA State football playoffs.

2022 – TYSD Media – Tri-County Youth Sports Daily – All Area Football – First Team

Area teams, Trask, Topsail, Pender and Dixon football closed out the year with much success to build on for next fall and the 2023 season.
