Area teams, Trask, Topsail, Pender and Dixon football closed out the year with much success to build on for next fall and the 2023 season.
Topsail Middle School eighth grader Pittman McEwen began participating in youth sports at age 3 and currently is a four-sport athlete in middle school
North Topsail Elementary fifth grader Mason Jones competes year- round in youth basketball, football, and lacrosse. Mason is also an honor student in school.
Shane Mabberley scored his first touchdown at 5 years old. Many years later as a senior for the Topsail football team, Shane is a wide receiver for the Pirates.
Topsail Elementary fourth grader Jensen Moore began his youth sports experience at age 5 with the Topsail Jr Pirate youth football program.
CJ Johnson competed In the District All-Star Tournament with the Topsail Ball Club 12U All-Stars.
The 8U Allstars claimed the Division 1- District 6 Tournament Championship.
The Dixon Youth League baseball Allstars completed step one of the state championship journey, Dixon claimed the 12u District 6- Division Dixie Youth Championship.
Hampstead Post 167 has sponsored legion baseball for Hampstead, Topsail and the Pender County Area for many years with Senior and Junior Legion teams.
