In the seasonal opener for the Dixon football team, the Bulldogs fell a little short in a offensive shootout at Swansboro on Friday night. In fact, Dixon held a lead late in the fourth quarter of the game. At the end of the game, win or lose, the team coaching staffs evaluate the game video and recognizing things the team did well and the parts of the game that needs to improve before the next game.

There were plenty of positives for the Dixon football team. Senior quarterback Corey Motes led the offensive attack with 252 passing yards and 3 touchdowns for the Bulldogs. Bryce Napier led the way with 132 yards rushing. Jermaine Lee finished with three receptions for 36 yards and a touchdown.

Dixon will be back in action next Friday night hosting Southside.
