Hampstead Post 167 – Junior Legion Baseball – Offers Area Youth Athletes – Positive Rewarding Experience – Summer Legion Baseball
Playing American Legion Baseball years ago was something many youth baseball players had on the wish list as they reached high school age. Today, there are number one, more kids playing youth recreation and Travel Team or Showcase tournament baseball during the summer months. With the increased youth and high school baseball options during the summer, American Legion Baseball remains a positive and rewarding experience for area youth baseball players.
Hampstead Post 167 has sponsored legion baseball for Hampstead, Topsail and the Pender County Area for many years with Senior and Junior Legion teams. This summer, Hampstead Post 167 is sponsoring the Junior Legion 17U team. This summer, Hampstead Post 167 has a very young but talented roster with many young players gaining valuable experience being involved with legion baseball. Hampstead Post 167 is nearing the end of regular season play and hope to qualify for the Junior Legion area playoffs.
