When a student enters high school, it is one of biggest life changes a teenager will encounter in their lifetime. As a student athlete the aspirations and goals become more complex. First they have to balance academics, sports and social life in order to reach their goals to become the best student and athlete they can be.
Dixon High School 2019 graduate and two sport athlete Logan Moore was very successful as a student athlete during her high school years. In academic excellence, Logan was awarded an Academic Achievement Award for her scholarship to William Peace University where she now attends college. Moore also excelled in athletics at Dixon High School in the volleyball program. As a senior at the end of year awards banquet she was honored with both top school athletic awards. Female Most Valuable Player and Female Bulldog Award for the 2018-19 school year. Logan also received the United States Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award. On the volleyball court Logan also had great success. 2018 Coastal 8 1A/2A conference player of the year. All conference honors for the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
After missing most of her senior soccer season because of hip surgery, Logan is anxious to complete physical therapy and be released to begin training with the William Peace College Pacers in a few weeks. Dixon Volleyball and her parents are very proud of Logan, and should be. Logan Moore is the perfect example of what a “Student Athlete” should be.
