Our Area Youth Have Adjusted To A New lifestyle .. Now Are Ready For A New Normal

The Covid-19 Pandemic has affected all of us over the last couple months. So many changes in the way we live our lives. While we continue to fight the battle and hopefully return to some type of normalcy over the summer, let’s not forget the affects it has had on our kids and their lifestyle changes during the crisis. From elementary to high school ages the effects have been far reaching.

With school facilities closed for the remainder of the year, all students have had to make the adjustment to virtual learning. Something teachers, students and parents have had to learn and adjust to this spring.

As far as youth, middle and high school sports they are currently cancelled for the remainder of the school year.  The biggest disappointment was the 2020 Class Student Athletes that were not able to have their senior season.

On the positive side,  I have seen student athletes working out on a individual basis with the guidance from coaches through social media. All with hopes of returning to school and sports at some point this summer. It will be a new normal when we get there,  but one that our youth, parents and coaches  look forward too. “For now” follow the guidelines from the experts, wash your hands and protect the vulnerable… and stay safe.
