Daily Blog… June 4 2020 A Return To Sports… Will Result In Much Needed Unity..For Our Nation…Communities…Families And Youth

Our nation needs unity. Over the last several months the Coronavirus Pandemic and now the death of George Floyd have in many ways increased the division in our country. Division or what I call a… difference of opinion.. Is part of the democratic process that our country was founded. With that said, our nations people need to realize and respect each others feelings and opinion. In politics elections are decided democratically by vote. In sports the winner is determined on the field or court and democratically as rules of the game or sport are voted on by a governing board. Respect others opinion and feelings. No matter the Religion..Politics..Race..or Gender…we all are AMERICANS …LOVE AND RESPECT ONE ANOTHER!!

The process for the return to sports is hopefully on the way. There is also division on the return of sports. Many are ready for a safe return to the field or court, while others are fear the return. Some National Youth Sports Organizations have cancelled the spring summer seasons such as American Legion and Dixie Youth Baseball and Softball. Some are playing a local leagues this summer. It all depends on where reside or what state you live. South Carolina opened up youth sports a couple weeks ago. Also the county and city parks and recreation have to approve the use of county and school fields.

Decisions on High School Athletics on a return to summer workouts are forthcoming. Until June 15 2020 no high school athletics are allowed. I will update when official plans are announced.

From kids to adults, a return to sports in a safe way will have a positive affect on unifying our nation. Kids want to return to school and sports… ….Teachers want their kids back …Moms want the teacher to have her kids back….And Dads want to get in the recliner and tune into live sports on TV after leaving their kids game. A return to a somewhat normal life. Something that has been missing for far to long. Not guaranteed but my hopes and dreams ..Stay Hopeful..and remember. We are all “AMERICANS” “LOVE AND RESPECT EACH OTHER”. ..Youth Sports Nation.
