Topsail Cheerleaders..Determined and Focused.. As They Prepare For National Competition

In early summer 2021 high school  cheerleading teams across the country like all competitive sports teams, set their goals and began the journey. Summer workouts, summer camps and team practices as they prepared for the upcoming season.

The Topsail High School Varsity Cheerleaders, team goals included a trip to Disney world in February 2022. In early December the Pirates competing in the NCHSAA  Cheerleading Invitational. Topsail secured their visit to  the UCA Nationals..Walt Disney Resort. (February 11-13) The Pirates won the State Championship  in the Large Varsity.. Non Tumble Division.

The Topsail Cheerleaders..working hard and fundraising in preparation for the UCA Nationals in a few weeks.

It’s the hard work and dedication of these student athletes just about year round that separates them from others. Yes, cheerleading is a sport and and consist of some of the most athletic student athletes in high school. It’s much more than cheering at football and basketball games. Cheerleading is a very competitive sport.
