There is “NO I IN TEAM”, A common phrase used by coaches as they try to bond their young athletes as a team. I applaud any young athlete that receives recognition on an individual basis by many ways, including fan polls, All Conference, Player of the Week and others. They are all well deserving of the recognition and accomplishments as a player. With that said, with team sports, a teams success on the field or court is not the result of a few players on the team, but all of the players on the roster accepting their roles, working together and bonding as a team. You win or lose, as a team.

The Topsail High School Lady Pirates Lacrosse team has a very talented and experienced roster this spring. The Lady Pirates are having a very successful season. Yes, like all teams they have individual stat leaders in all in categories. With that said, as you look at the individual statistics on the Lady Pirates Roster, you will find many of the players are making big contributions to the team success this season. It is a “Team Effort”.

As a team, the Lady Pirates are undefeated with a 13-0 record and first place in the Mid-Eastern 3A/4A Conference. This is the first season in the NCHSAA State 4A Classification.
