Topsail Lady Pirate Softball .. Young And Talented … Hope To Build On Programs Winning Tradition

As the high school spring sports season gets underway, Teams embark on forming a new program identity for this season. The Topsail softball program has built a winning tradition over the last several years. The 2019 and 2021 the Topsail Lady Pirates have advanced to the third round of the NCHSAA 3A Softball Playoffs. The 2020 season was cancelled due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. The Topsail softball program has many past players now playing college softball.

The 2022 Topsail Lady Pirate Softball team is working hard to form their own team identity and continue the winning tradition of the program. As with all teams, it is a new beginning, new roster and building that team chemistry and commitment to the team and program. This year Topsail team returns experience from last seasons roster, is overall a young team. Topsail Head Coach, Eric Phillips had positive feeling for this years team. “I think we have a great young, young squad with loads of speed.” “Great leadership being provided by Olivia Visconti and Zoey Vincent, Said Phillips. “If this team plays to their potential, they could do some serious damage in their first year of 4A ball.”

The Topsail Varsity Lady Pirates 2-0 on the season with a 15-4 victory over Dixon and a 11-1 win over Trask. The Lady Pirate Junior Varsity 1-0 with 13-4 win over Dixon to open the Dixon.
