Topsail Softball Alum….Emma Neeley Begins College Career…  Methodist University Lady Monarchs Softball

It’s that time of year..the collegiate spring sports season is underway. Many sports will begin regular season play in mid– February. We have several area “ Class of 2021” Student Athletes that are beginning the there college athletic careers in the upcoming spring sports seasons.

Topsail Softball Amum/Methodist University Softball..Emma Neeley completed the fall softball season and workouts for the Lady Monarchs and is ready to get her freshman softball season underway.

Emma Neeley.. Like many Class of 2021 student athletes had to withstand adversity in their high school careers.. The covid pandemic shutdown forced the cancellation of the 2020 high school softball season. Neeley like many others used travel softball to fill in the gap of losing her junior high school season.

 The 2021 Topsail softball team had a very successful season finishing 14-3 overall and advancing to the third round of the NCHSSA 3A State Playoffs. As a senior and final season for the Lady Pirates, Neeley had a great season as a starting pitcher. Fifteen appearances ..1.25 ERA…12 wins and 2 losses on the mound for the Lady Pirates.

Emma also off to a great start academically for The Lady Monarchs..being named to the “Honor Roll” for  Methodist University
