2021 Topsail High School graduate Tyesha Williams love for the game of softball began at a young age playing Dixie Youth Softball. Tyesha and the North Carolina Team won the 2014 X Play Angels World Series Championship as a player for Burgaw Dixie Youth All Stars.
Tyesha, like all Class of 2021 spring season student athletes, high school softball players lost their junior season..cancelled due to the Covid-19 Pandemic .
In 2019, Williams sophomore season Topsail softball finished the season 20-4 advancing to the third round of NCHSAA 3A State playoffs. Tyesha had season stats….492 Batting average..30 runs scored…25 RBI…32 base hits…6 doubles…5 triples and 1 home run. Williams was named Mideastern 3A/4A conference Co- Player of year for the 2019 season.
Tyesha 2021 Senior season with Topsail finishing the season 12-3 advancing to the Third round of NCHSAA 3A/4A state playoffs. Williams stat totals…426 Batting average…18 runs scored…20 base hits…14 RBI… 4 doubles…3 Triples.
Tyesha made the decision to head north to continue her education and softball career at Boston University…Terrier Softball . With one semester complete Williams is adjusting as a student and softball player…Tyesha is a outfielder for the Lady Terriers. The season is underway for Williams and her team.
