2019 TOPSAIL YOUTH SPORTS DAILY All AREA FOOTBALL TEAM

Topsail Youth Sports Daily first All Area team with players from our area high schools Dixon and Topsail and some recognition for our area football student athletes this season.  Topsail finished the season with an 8-3 record and third place finish in the Mideastern 3A/4A conference. Dixon also had a winning season with a 6-5 season ending record. It was a team performance on both sides of the ball for the   Pirates and Bulldogs. With that said, the passing game on both teams that stood out on the statistical side for Topsail and Dixon. Congrats to both teams on a great season !!  Also Congrats to all of the members named to the  2019 ALL AREA FOOTBALL TEAM.

TOPSAIL YOUTH SPORTS DAILY “ALL AREA TOP PERFORMERS“

CODY WALLIS (TOPSAIL) SENIOR QUARTERBACK……. The senior quarterback for the Pirates totaled 2156 passing yards/ 19 touchdowns for Topsail this season. Wallis completed his varsity career with 3769 yards/ 34 touchdowns.

COREY MOTES (DIXON) SENIOR QUARTERBACK…….The Dixon standout quarterback closed out his high school career with an outstanding season. Motes finished the season with 2903 passing yards/26 touchdowns. Corey was also named NC Preps player of the week in his last high school game finishing with 507 yards passing/ 5 touchdowns.

GAVIN ELLIS (TOPSAIL) JUNIOR WIDE RECEIVER….. An impressive junior season for Ellis, the area leader in receiving yards.  Gavin finish the season 53 receptions for 1116 yards and 8 touchdowns for the Pirates. Ellis also has one passing touchdown for Topsail.

BRANDON MOLINO (DIXON) SENIOR WIDE RECEIVER……The talented wide receiver for the Bulldogs led Dixon with 50 receptions for 762 yards and 5 touchdowns for the Bulldogs this season.

BRYCE NAPIER (DIXON) SENIOR RUNNING BACK….. Napier led the Bulldogs offense with 837 Rushing yards/ 473 Receiving yards for a total 1310 All purpose yards for Dixon.

BERNIE BURNS (TOPSAIL) JUNIOR RUNNING BACK….. The Pirates Junior with 934 rushing yards and 1004 All purpose yards for Topsail this season.
