Surf City Middle School … Gracie Mabrey … Middle School Spotlight Athlete

The term “ Student Athlete” is often used to identify high school and college students that play sports. The middle school athletes are also student athletes. They also have eligibility requirements including academics that are regulated by the state of North Carolina. As in high school it takes commitment in the classroom as well as athletics. It is in middle school they  find that love for a sport.

Surf City Middle School eighth grader Gracie Mabrey, a two sport athlete for the Lady Sharks developed that commitment at a early age. Gracie, a  basketball and softball player at SCMS also plays National Travel Team Softball.
